STATUTES AND RULES COMMITTEE:
Task: to review existing statutes and rules for consistency and clarity and to draft new statutes, rules, policies, and procedures to create a comprehensive terminology, understanding, and application of best human resources practices during interpretation and implementation of the statute and rules.

Top Three Goals:
1. To clarify existing statutes, rules, and procedures;
2. To formalize unwritten procedures and practices; and
3. To set forth responsibilities for shared governance
between the central office
(HEPC and CCTCE) establish consistent terminology and application throughout
the
system.
Current Status:
The Statute and Rules Committee has reviewed two drafts to formalize new procedures and policies.
Next Steps:
To
finalize the changes to the draft document and release it to the human
resources
community, the administrators, and the staff for their review and
comments.
To request from each committee recommendations for rules, procedures and practices that require formalization.
