PERSONNEL STUDY COMMITTEE:
Early in the process, HEPC created an umbrella committee for the Personnel Study. This committee is comprised of human resources experts both from inside and outside the higher education system and employees from state government. The committee has expertise from both two- and four-year institutions.

From this Committee came the idea of a subcommittee that focused on specific area of the project. The Classification Subcommittee was created over a year ago to address only the classification system. This subcommittee consisted of two experts from the human resources community and two from the staff community. All recommendations have to be made with unanimous agreement and they must have a unified communication plan. This subcommittee became the model for all the other committees.
