FACULTY COMMITTEE:

Task: to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of statewide tenure and promotion policies for faculty and to examine alternatives.

Top Three Goals:

        1.    To examine the tenure and promotion policies of the faculty and recommend
               improvements.

        2.    To determine if the current faculty designations are adequate to address the
               teaching demands.

        3.    To evaluate whether the current salary structure is market competitive.

Current Status:

The Faculty Committee has completed its report and has shared the findings with Chancellor Noland of HEPC, Chancellor Skidmore of CCTCE, Vice Chancellor Taylor of HEPC/CCTCE, and LOCEA.
