COMPENSATION STEPS SUBCOMMITTEE:

Task: to develop a step system that rewards employees for internal and external work experience, educational attainment, and professional competencies.

Members:

Top Three Goals:

  1. To identify the factors that will be considered in a operational step system;
     

  2. To create a step system with appropriate dispersion of employees across the steps;
     

  3. To determine a process for moving through the step system and to recommend options for the fiscal sustainability of the step system.

Current Status:

The Compensation Steps Subcommittee has completed the following:

Next Steps:

  1. Finalize the components of the step system for incumbent employees.
     

  2. Distribute draft step system to employees and administrators for review and comments.
     

  3. Research options for fiscal sustainability of the newly proposed step system.
