WELCOME:
The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission (HEPC) welcomes you to EightSteps, the Personnel Study website. EightSteps is an informative website designed to share the ongoing progress and developments of the Personnel Study Project.
VISION:
The vision is to establish an integrated human resources structure for the West Virginia higher education system which
promotes fairness and due process;
commits to flexibility, accountability, and financial responsibility;
upholds federal and state laws;
adheres to policies and rules;
implements best practices throughout every component of the human resources system; and
supports public policy in higher education.
By adhering to this vision, an infrastructure will be created that has the capability of responding effectively and efficiently to the demands, expectations, and resources of the higher education system that serves all West Virginia communities.
MISSION:
The mission is to accomplish the charge set forth in Senate Bill 603 whereby HEPC and the Council for Community and Technical College Education (CCTCE) is to study and recommend revisions to the human resources infrastructure by identifying, researching, recommending, and implementing the best practices for an integrated human resources system.
